About

Nestled on the banks of the Housatonic River in West Cornwall, Connecticut, the Trinity Retreat Center is a place set apart for rest, discovery, connection, and reflection. We gather to celebrate the restorative presence of God in nature and support each other in the ongoing work of love, service, and justice.

We offer all our guests gracious, authentic hospitality. Experience the rhythm of a spiritual community, enjoy farm-to-table meals, discern direction for your life, and go home ready to make an even greater impact on the world.

The Center sits next to more than 700 acres of conservation trust and state forest. The property includes 25 guest rooms, a historic stone chapel, a monastic garden, an orchard, a working farm, a donkey sanctuary, hiking trails, a community hall, meeting rooms, and quiet spaces that foster spirituality and wellness. Explore the campus.

The Trinity Retreat Center is a mission of Trinity Church and is open to everyone, regardless of denomination or faith.

Pricing

We strive to keep our prices affordable. Rates include your stay in a guest room with a private bathroom, as well as all meals, activities, meeting spaces, and equipment.

Accommodations

Fully renovated in 2017, each guest room has a private bathroom with a shower, and views of the river, forest, or farm. Rooms come with linens, towels, heat, and air-conditioning.

Dining

We take seriously our sacred duty to provide guests with delicious, nourishing meals. Much of the food prepared by our kitchen staff is farm-to-table, sourced from the retreat center or local farms.

Our Donkey Sanctuary

While you’re visiting the retreat center, take time to visit our donkey sanctuary on the edge of Trinity Forest. We have six donkeys, all rescued from kill pens. Their rescue embodies our mission to be a refuge for those who need peace, comfort, and healing on life’s journey.
