About Trinity Church

Trinity Church is an Episcopal parish in New York City, founded in 1697. We work for justice, serve our neighbors, and bring people together to experience God’s love, in community.

Trinity’s outreach includes worship and faith education, charitable grantmaking, and hands-on assistance for those in need. We offer 20 weekly church services, food assistance seven days a week for people in need, support for asylum seekers, housing for the elderly and people living with disabilities, youth programs, and a wide array of free music and educational events throughout the year. The church also supports communities and ministries serving the world in Africa, Asia, and across the Americas.

With an endowment of $6 billion, Trinity has quadrupled its philanthropic giving since 2020, providing more than $200 million to almost 500 organizations.

Worship

Worship is at the center of parish life. Many of our services are live-streamed, including our Sunday 11:15 a.m. service, and viewed by hundreds of thousands of people worldwide. Trinity Church and its historic churchyard at Broadway and Wall Street, as well as St. Paul’s Chapel just north on Broadway, welcome more than 3 million visitors and pilgrims from around the world every year.

Global & National Ministries

As both a thriving New York City congregation and a global parish, Trinity has ties to communities and ministries across the United States, and around the world. We work to help other churches build leadership and financial capacity:

•Through our partnership with Church Divinity School of the Pacific (CDSP), a hybrid-residency Episcopal Seminary, we help leaders create Christian communities, offering degree programs on Christian mission, discleship, and core leadership skills.

•Our Mission Real Estate Development program (MRED) helps religious communities throughout the Episcopal Church and the Anglican Communion to build sustainable financial capacity through training, grants, and real estate advisory support. We do this work across the United States, and in Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

•At Trinity Retreat Center, in West Cornwall, CT, we provide a place for rest, prayer, discovery, connection, and reflection. In addition to our own retreat series, religious and educational nonprofit organizations can reserve the center for group meetings.
