Comfort at One includes a special Bach concert today: Avi Stein leads the December 26, 2014 Twelfth Night Festival performance of Bach’s Orchestral Suites, featuring Trinity Baroque Orchestra musicians, performing on historic instruments.

For today’s choral Comfort at One, we have a special holiday concert: “Nöel et La Vierge Marie: a Franco-Flemish Christmas Celebration” was presented in 2013 as part of the Twelfth Night Festival. Join us in the 15th century as we say farewell to 2021.

Celebrate the coming of the new year with a spirited performance by the Bishop’s Band in today’s installment of Comfort at One. In 2014, the Bishop’s Band presented Codex II, a concert dedicated to Martínez Compañón’s book, music from the late 18th-century from the Codex Trujillo del Perú.

Trinity’s early music Twelfth Night Festival was a highlight of New York’s holiday season for several years. Today we present Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, BWV 248 (parts five and six). These choruses, intimate arias, and colorful orchestrations depict the Christmas story as a drama to rival his monumental passions.

Happy Holidays! Today’s Comfort at One brings you a blast from the past: our 2017 Christmas Concert and Community Carol Sing, featuring Julian Wachner’s beloved arrangements of favorite Christmas tunes from The Snow Lay on the Ground.

Comfort at One continues with a 2019 Festival of Lessons and Carols for Advent. A cherished holiday tradition for congregations around the world, this service tells the Christmas story through readings and musical illuminations. 

Today for Comfort at One, we are featuring a clip from “the essential New York Messiah” (The New York Times): “For unto us a child is born.”

Today for Comfort at One, sing along from wherever you are with Trinity ensembles in this concert that has been a highlight of the holiday season. This Christmas extravaganza, the Community Carol Sing, features Downtown Voices, NOVUS NY, and the Trinity Youth Chorus.
