Today’s Comfort at One "Messiah Week" continues with a series of solos from the Passion section in part two of the oratorio, featuring Thomas McCargar from The Choir of Trinity Wall Street. In these scenes, Handel musically paints the scorn and agony of Christ leading up to his death.

This week, Handel's Messiah takes over Comfort at One. For our first installment, a scene of choral movements featuring the incredible musicians of The Choir of Trinity Wall Street and Trinity Baroque Orchestra under the direction of Julian Wachner. This video features “Surely,” “And with his stripes,” and “All we like sheep.” 

Our Christmas Comfort at One offerings continue with a stunning virtual performance of a favorited annual Trinity holiday event: the Trinity Youth Chorus performing Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols. Let these beautiful voices bring you comfort and light as you begin this joyous season.

For Comfort at One today, we have a special Pipes at One performance by Trinity’s Associate Organist Janet Yieh. A perfect offering for the holiday season, Janet expertly designed this program of Advent hymns and tunes, with works by Mendelssohn, Bach, Jeanne Demessieux, and Marcel Dupré.

Today’s Comfort at One will surely get you in the holiday spirit as the Trinity Baroque Orchestra and The Choir of Trinity Wall Street, under the direction of Julian Wachner, perform Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, BWV 248 (Parts 2 and 4).

For today’s Comfort at One choral meditation, we present Jonathan Woody’s stunning Ave Maria Stella performed by members of The Choir of Trinity Wall Street. Melissa Attebury leads in this stirring rendition that also features Sonya Headlam, Elizabeth Bates, David Vanderwal, and Clifton Massey.

This summer, instrumentalists from Trinity’s extended family of musicians started performing preludes and postludes for Trinity’s 11:15am Sunday worship services. For today's Comfort at One we present Steel Pan artist Kendall K. Williams who joined the service on July 11, performing arrangements of hymns, plus his own compositions.
