Comfort at One continues presenting Bach at One on Mondays, this week with a cantata that focuses on Mary, mother of Jesus: Wie schön leuchtet der Morgenstern, BWV 1, paired with Herr Gott, dich loben wir, BWV 16. This concert features soloists Sarah Brailey, Melissa Attebury, Owen McIntosh, and Jonathan Woody from The Choir of Trinity Wall Street, accompanied by the expert musicians of Trinity Baroque Orchestra.

Comfort at One continues our Wednesday series of Choral Meditations, recorded this past summer by The Choir of Trinity Wall Street. Today's performance features Haec dies by William Byrd; A Hymn to the Virgin by Benjamin Britten; and Herbert Howells’ Like as the hart desireth the waterbrooks and A Hymn for St. Cecilia.

Today’s Comfort at One features brilliant composer and flutist Allison Loggins in a stunning performance from Trinity this summer that featured The Scolds by Amanda Feery, Freihme by inti figgis-vizueta, and Loggins’ profound composition Homeland.

Today’s Comfort at One features a mini-opera, Apollo and Daphne, by Bach’s great contemporary—Handel. This performance is from Trinity’s 2016 4x4 Baroque Music Festival, which brought together some of New York’s best baroque music specialists under the artistic direction of Trinity's Avi Stein.

This week’s installment of Choral Meditations for Comfort at One is conducted by Trinity’s Director of Music Julian Wachner and Associate Organist Janet Yieh and includes works by Duruflé, Dawson, Sowerby, Wood, and Tippett. Each Wednesday, Comfort at One features The Choir of Trinity Wall Street's newly recorded choral works.

In July, NOVUS NY gave its first live chamber music performance in over a year for Trinity’s 11:15am Sunday worship service. During the prelude, members of the NOVUS NY string quartet performed Jessie Montgomery’s Source Code alongside Florence Price’s arrangement of Swing Low Sweet Chariot. Enjoy this musical collage as we appreciate the impact of American spirituals on music history and into the present day.

Today’s Comfort at One is from the spring of 2016 and opens with Trinity's Avi Stein performing Liszt’s Fantasy and Fugue on BACH, followed by The Choir of Trinity Wall Street with the Trinity Baroque Orchestra performing Ihr, die ihr euch von Christo nennet, BWV 164 and Wo Gott der Herr nicht bei uns hält,BWV 178.
