Comfort at One presents our November installment of Amplify Female Composers, with The Choir of Trinity Wall Street performing Florence Price’s My Soul’s Been Anchored in the Lord, featuring soloist Sonya Headlam; Patricia Van Ness’s Psalm 16 (You Are My Portion and My Cup); and Amy Beach’s All Hail The Power of Jesus’ Name.

For today’s installment of Comfort at One, we present a St. Paul’s Chapel Choir hybrid performance of Ubi Caritas by Maurice Duruflé, directed by Associate Organist Janet Yieh.

Today’s Comfort at One is from 2016, the year Trinity completed its first cycle of Bach’s entire monumental output of sacred vocal music. Comfort at One continues the celebration of Josquin Des Prez for the 500th anniversary of his passing in today’s Choral Meditations, which features the Sanctus and Benedictus, and Agnus Dei, from the composer's Missa de Beata Virgine, conducted by Julian Wachner.

This past summer, NOVUS NY musicians started performing preludes and postludes for Trinity’s 11:15am Sunday worship services. On August 15, Andrew Yee, cello, joined Associate Organist Janet Yieh on piano and Mel Baker on flute to perform selections from Clara Schumann’s Piano Trio in G minor.

Today’s Comfort at One is a favorite Bach at One concert from November 2016, with The Choir of Trinity Wall Street and Trinity Baroque Orchestra under the direction of Julian Wachner, performing Bach's Christ lag in Todes Banden, BWV 4, Fürchte dich nicht, BWV 228, and Lobet den Herrn, alle Heide, BWV 230.

Comfort at One marks the 500th anniversary of Josquin’s death in today’s installment of Choral Meditations conducted by Associate Organist and Chorusmaster Avi Stein. Stay tuned on Wednesdays for these newly recorded meditations by The Choir of Trinity Wall Street. 

As 2021 marks the 500th anniversary of Josquin Des Prez’s death, today for Comfort at One we bring you a special holiday concert, “Nöel et La Vierge Marie: a Franco-Flemish Christmas Celebration” featuring Motets of Binchois, Brumel, Busnois, Dufay, Mouton, Obrecht, and Ockeghem, interspersed with movements of Josquin des Prez's Missa de Beata Virgine.
