Today Trinity Church joins Episcopal congregations across the country to celebrate the 50th anniversary of women’s ordination in The Episcopal Church.
On July 29, 1974, eleven women were ordained as priests at Philadelphia’s Church of the Advocate. These trailblazers, who came to be known as the “Philadelphia Eleven,” paved the way for churchwide approval of women’s ordination two years later.
Join us in honoring the courage and faithfulness of the Philadelphia Eleven during our worship services.
