Join us for a jazz extravaganza performance weekend and check out the hard-working, talented students who have been studying jazz as part of Jazz House @Trinity Youth Afterschool classes in NYC and Jazz House Kids programming in Montclair, NJ. These concerts are free and open to the public. All are welcome!

Jazz Icons presents free Sunday concerts that showcase some of the most prolific and influential artists in jazz history, such as the Monty Alexander Trio. Join us for a concert led by veteran pianist Monty Alexander, whose sophisticated and dense arrangements are infused with the spirit of calypso and reggae from his native Jamaica. Alexander is often hailed for his work as an accompanist with the likes of Ernest Ranglin, Ray Brown, and Tony Bennett. 

A joint effort between Trinity and JAZZ HOUSE @ Trinity, these concerts are curated by eight-time GRAMMY Award-winning bassist and Jazz House Artistic Director Christian McBride and jazz vocalist Melissa Walker, president and founder of Jazz House Kids.

Trinity's newest series, Jazz at One, takes place every Tuesday from October 11 to November 29 at St. Paul's Chapel and features an eclectic mix of brilliant jazz artists in collaboration with JAZZHOUSE@Trinity, a joint effort between Trinity and Jazz House Kids.

Tuesday, November 15, we were joined by a trio led by pianist Theo Walentiny, founding member of the Aurelia Trio who studied with Reggie Workman, Jane Ira Bloom, and Kirk Nurock to name just a few. His newest LP, if the winder were visible, was released November 11, 2022.

Tuesday, November 8, we were joined by lifelong vocal prodigy Samara Joy, whose sophomore album Linger Awhile (Verve Records) has Jazz Times proclaiming, “Samara Joy is that new voice that’s giving new purpose to the music,” praising her “distinctive style, charm, and dexterity.

As part of Trinity Church Wall Street's growing commitment to jazz, a uniquely American art form and an important, uniting voice for our collective story and experience, we are hosting a weekly lunchtime music series coordinated by Jazz House Kids.

Jazz House Kids offer students a wide range of creative programming with internationally renowned jazz performers teaching alongside staff. Through music, mentoring, education, and apprenticeship, Jazz House Kids cultivates tomorrow's global citizens so they may build vibrant communities.
