At this candle-lit service, a series of readings and psalms are recited and chanted, followed by meditative musical responses led by The Choir of Trinity Wall Street and NOVUS NY with Julian Wachner, conductor. Psalms will include works by Caroline Shaw, David Hurd, Marjorie Merryman, Bobby McFerrin, Julian Wachner, and others. Following the service, a procession will walk to St. Paul’s Chapel, where a 48-hour vigil will begin.

Today’s Comfort at One concert presents Sandbox Percussion in “bell patterns,” both composed and video designed by Sandbox member Victor Caccese. Each musician in the quartet is assigned a number— 2, 3, 4, or 5— and this number helps to generate the rhythmic and melodic material that each person plays.
