Trinity shines a light on the volunteers who strengthen our community.

As Trinity Church wraps up the 2024–25 program year on June 15, we’re giving thanks for our network of devoted volunteers. In support of the church’s mission to serve our neighbors, nearly 480 parishioners and staff members came together throughout the year to collectively provide 9,150 hours of service. From distributing meals that combat food insecurity to fulfilling 670 Christmas wishes for children to welcoming newcomers and assisting during worship services, their work has been an act of love.

“Here at Trinity, we serve with a deep sense of kindness and care for our siblings because, as followers of Christ, we believe service is a concrete manifestation of God’s love shared among us,” said the Rev. Jorge Ortiz, priest and associate director of Community Engagement. “Service brings us together in meaningful ways to build trust, understanding, and resilience to overcome division, isolation, and despair.”

In putting their faith into action, Trinity’s volunteers follow the scriptural imperative to use one’s strength and resources to help others: “Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received” (1 Peter 4:10).

Thank you to all who have brought their light to our community during the 2024–25 program year!
