Vivvi Early Learning and Trinity Church Wall Street Announce Preschool Transfer
Vivvi will assume operations of Trinity’s Financial District preschool in September 2020
NEW YORK, NY - September 10, 2019 - Vivvi Early Learning, the first company to provide employer sponsored near and on-site child care to companies of all sizes, today announced its plans to assume operations of Trinity Preschool, based in Manhattan’s Financial District.
Vivvi, which was founded by Charles Bonello (CEO) and Benjamin Newton (COO), launched its Hudson Square flagship location in July 2019 and brings over 100 years of combined experience in early childhood education to the Lower Manhattan community. The transition, which will be effective September 1, 2020, will significantly increase Vivvi’s footprint and extend its impact to all of lower Manhattan, serving not only the working families in the area, but the employers that rely on them, by providing world-class child care and preschool.
Trinity Preschool opened in 1982 and has been operated by Trinity Church Wall Street, a growing and inclusive Episcopal parish in lower Manhattan. “We’ve long admired Trinity Church and the work they’ve done – both in operating the preschool for nearly 40 years and serving lower Manhattan for more than 300 years - and we intend to honor the commitment to Trinity Preschool families, staff, and the community that the church has made,” commented Newton. “Over the next few months, we’ll be spending significant time working hand-inhand with Trinity Preschool staff, learning about the wonderful families and happenings at the school, and communicating our intense dedication to quality education that’s accessible to all, to ensure the smoothest transition possible.”
Vivvi's world-class inquiry-based child care and preschool programs accommodate children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old, and are designed for today's families, with robust parent engagement and seamless work-life integration.
“After working with Ben and Charlie on this transaction for more than a year, we believe that Vivvi is aligned with Trinity’s core values and will continue to provide the quality education and care that Trinity Preschool parents have come to expect,” said the Rev. Dr. William Lupfer, Rector of Trinity Church Wall Street. “We’ve been impressed by Vivvi’s passion for and expertise in early childhood education, and their commitment to Trinity Preschool staff, children, and families. We are proud of Trinity Preschool’s legacy, and we believe that Vivvi’s acquisition of the preschool will allow Trinity to focus on our key strategic initiatives in New York City, including racial justice, housing and homelessness, and the opening of Trinity Commons, a new resource for our lower Manhattan neighborhood, in 2020,” Dr. Lupfer added.
This announcement comes on the heels of the news of Vivvi’s first official corporate partner, Concentric Health Experience. For more information on Vivvi and corporate partnerships, or to learn more about the transition, please visit: www.vivvi.co/XXXXX.
