Introducing the Trinity Ambassadors Program

Maybe you’ve noticed, and wondered about, the friendly folks with their black-and-red badges, standing in the lobby and greeting you with the words “Welcome to Trinity Commons.”

They’re Trinity Ambassadors, part of a new ministry of hospitality to help our staff, congregation, youth, and neighbors become more familiar with our (still) new building at 76 Trinity Place. Trinity is operating a pilot program this spring to gather information before a full launch later this year.

I’m grateful to the Ambassadors who are extending a warm welcome and assistance to our visitors. They embody our commitment to others’ care which fosters stronger connections with our neighbors.

“Trinity Commons is the center for our parish life. Since the building is still new and was closed for two years, visitors may be unfamiliar with the building and even feel intimidated when entering it,” said Maggy Laraque, who is leading the program. “The Trinity Ambassador Program was created to help address those concerns.”

“We have a 325-year commitment to the wellbeing of New York City,” said the Rev. Michael Bird, Vicar. “This new building furthers that mission. I’m grateful to the Ambassadors who are extending a warm welcome and assistance to our visitors. They embody our commitment to others’ care which fosters stronger connections with our neighbors.”
