Father Phil Congratulates the Next Archbishop of Canterbury
Dear members of the Trinity family,
I want to add my voice — and Trinity’s — to the congratulatory messages on the appointment of the Rt. Rev. and Rt. Hon. Dame Sarah Mullally as the 106th Archbishop of Canterbury.
I have met with Bishop Sarah several times in her capacity as the Bishop of London, most recently just two weeks ago when I attended the installation of the Rev. Simon Cuff as rector of St. Mary-le-Bow Church, at which she presided.
As you all know, I have deep love and respect for the Anglican Communion and its place in the world. While Bishop Sarah will face challenges, I am confident in her leadership, and I personally could not be happier with her appointment to this important role.
Please join me in holding in prayer Bishop Sarah, her family, and the Anglican Communion as she prepares to take on this critical role in our Church.
Blessings,
Phil
The Rev. Phillip A. Jackson
Rector, Trinity Church
