Word by Word: Creative Ways to Abide in Scripture Online Retreat
For Christians, the words of sacred scripture are the bedrock of our faith, a wellspring of hope and consolation, a source of teaching, and a site of joy. And as important as reading and listening to the Bible are, there are many additional ways to deepen our relationship with scripture. Join us for an online retreat on creative and unexpected ways to abide in scripture using our fullest selves. From music and poetry to movement, we'll get the word of God out of our heads alone and into our body-minds, discovering these ancient texts in fresh and playful ways. This retreat is led by Trinity Retreat Center staff member Mary Davenport, who is a scholar of the Hebrew Bible and a postulant for ordination to the priesthood in the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts.
Streaming on the Trinity Retreat Center Facebook page, June 10-12, at the following times:
· Friday 7–7:30pm
· Saturday 10–10:30am, 2–2:30pm, and 8–8:30pm
· Sunday 4–4:30pm
