Mary Magdalene Retreat: Role Model for the Spiritual Journey
With the Rev. Heather Sisk, artist and environmentalist
Explore Mary Magdalene—disciple, witness, and prophet—as one of our strongest role models for understanding the elements that emerge on a spiritual journey. The elements of the spiritual journey with Mary Magdalene do not follow in a necessary order but cycle within us as we grow into a deeper awareness of the movement of the divine encounter. Through lecture, reflection and meditation over the course of the weekend retreat, we will consider healing and forgiveness, discernment, witness, abiding, and transformation. This retreat will use 3D icons for contemplation.
Sisk is an artist and environmentalist. She earned both an MDiv and an MA in Spiritual Direction from The General Theological Seminary of the Episcopal Church.
The retreat will take place over five half-hour sessions throughout the weekend at these times, streamed on Facebook Live. All times are Eastern. Registration is not required.
- Friday 8–8:30pm
- Saturday 10–10:30am, 2–2:30pm, and 8–8:30pm
- Sunday 4–4:30pm
