Thursday Sermon, The Rev. Michael A. Bird "Advent: The Wait that Has Weight"

Preaching at Trinity’s Thursday Holy Eucharist, the Rev. Michael Bird declares himself to be a member of the “Advent police,” encouraging us not to rush into Christmas decorating and celebrating and instead to seriously appreciate the beauty, meaning, and power of the Advent season. Father Bird reminds us that Advent is not only a time of expectation for December 25, but also a time to consider a future Advent when we will be “judged in the best possible way” by a loving parent, and when “all will be well.” Watch the homily.
