Sunday Sermon, The Rev. Elizabeth Blunt:“Be Shields and Shelters for One Another”

On Visitation Sunday, Mother Beth shared her hope that “sometime, whether in this place or out in the world, you have experienced the awe of being suddenly in God’s presence. . . or felt a bit of the texture of heaven.” Her prayer for all of us, she continued, “is that God might strengthen us – like Mary, like Elizabeth, like our Jesus – to be shields and shelters for one another. People who amplify joy, and shore it up and share it.”
