From Refugee Camp to London: The Journey of Bishop Anthony Poggo
The Anglican Communion, of which Trinity Church Wall Street is a part, spans six continents and includes 80-million people with the shared history of the Anglican Church. Assisting such a diverse group to exchange information and work for common purpose falls to the Secretary General of the Anglican Communion, a position held by Bishop Anthony Poggo of South Sudan. The bishop has been displaced and forced into exile three times, an experience which gives him a personal and powerful perspective on how churches and governments should care for persons fleeing their homelands in search of safety and welcome.
