Jesus of the Streets

During the season of Lent, from Ash Wednesday February 14th until Easter Day on April 1st, Trinity Church Wall Street is sponsoring a 14-part exhibit of art related to the traditional Christian devotional “Stations of the Cross,” as well as hosting the 13th station. Public religious art has a long history and seems to be staging a comeback even in modern more secular society by emphasizing how the suffering of Jesus, caused by systemic injustice, can open our eyes to our own neighbors who still live under the burden of unjust systems.
