Inducting a Trinity Rector

Trinity Wall Street recently celebrated Ascension Day 2015 with the institution of its 18th Rector, the Rev. Dr. William Lupfer, in a ceremony taken from the Book of Common Prayer, the second part of a two-step process.  The first ceremony, called an induction, occurred in February and David Jette, Trinity’s head verger for thirty years, explains how this 18th century tradition has managed to endure into the 21st.
