Why do we, like the hungry Israelites in Exodus or the complaining day-labors in the parable of the vineyard, assume we are more worthy of God’s blessings than others? If you are faithful, preaches the Rev. Phil Jackson, you are deserving of God’s grace. There will always be enough to go around, therefore how he bestows it is up to him, not you, to decide. The scriptures are Exodus 16:2–15, Philippians 1:21–30, and Matthew 20:1–16.
