In its fifth and final year, this multimedia performance, based on Father Mark Bozzuti-Jones’ book of meditations, combines theatrical readings, dance, visual effects, and vocal and instrumental music. Womb of Advent features the Trinity Movement Choir, Family Choir, and the Trinity Youth Chorus.
This week: Chris Pattishall Quintet
Drawing from a broad range of influences, including Schubert's Winterreise and compositions by jazz musicians John Lewis, Bill Evans, and Thad Jones, as well as familiar holiday songs, this program paints a picture of the many moods of this special season. Recently named by Wynton Marsalis as one of the top five jazz musicians under 30 to watch, Chris Pattishall is quickly generating a powerful presence in the jazz world. Pattishall returns to Trinity with a diverse program of standard jazz, original, and holiday tunes.
