Trinity Kicks Off Series on Reconciliation as an Agent of Change
Trinity Church Wall Street is embarking on a two-year journey to study reconciliation, its power, its potential, its challenge. Join us as we begin this exploration in an online event November 4 when the Very Rev. Dr. Kelly Brown Douglas, Dean of the Episcopal Divinity School at Union, explores the theological frameworks of reconciliation, its central role in the Christian life, and how it can be an agent for change. Dean Douglas is Canon Theologian at the National Cathedral in Washington, Theologian in Residence at Trinity Church Wall Street, and author of “Resurrection Hope: A Future Where Black Lives Matter,” which will be released next month.

This program will set the stage for continuing the study of reconciliation in 2022, including an event on Thursday, February 3 featuring the Rev. Canon Stephanie Spellers, Canon to the Presiding Bishop for Evangelism and Reconciliation, and Dr. Catherine Meeks, Executive Director of the Absalom Jones Center for Racial Healing. Later in 2022, Dr. Greg Garrett of Baylor University, will join with Trinity in a workshop on Restorative Justice.
