About the Event:

Sarah Kirkland Snider explores the life and music of another great composer — 12th century nun and mystic Hildegard von Bingen — in her new opera, Hildegard. Premiering in New York with musical direction by Gabriel Crouch and accompaniment by NOVUS, the work delves into the remarkable woman’s life and luminous music, which has become a staple of Trinity Church’s repertoire. “A marvel of abundant grace, a work of unforced, almost overwhelming resonance,” according to The New York Times, the opera will be performed as part of the Prototype Festival, produced by Beth Morrison Projects.
