PIPES: Alcée Chriss III
Trinity’s assistant organist presents music from Bach to blues
You’ll feel the glorious surround-sound power of more than 8,000 pipes when Trinity’s Assistant Organist Alcée Chriss III takes the helm of the church’s historic new organ. Renowned for reimagining the instrument’s possibilities, Chriss will demonstrate virtuosic range — and the tremendous capacity of the organ — as he performs movements from Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances, Johann Sebastian Bach’s Toccata in D Minor, Max Reger's Fantasy and Fugue on B-A-C-H, and his own jazz and gospel improvisations.
