The Easter gospel, Father Phil preached, reminds us that death no longer rules us. He urged us to use this Christian fearlessness as a tool against the divisions that plague our world.
This symbol-rich liturgy features candlelit readings, psalms and canticles, Holy Baptism, the First Eucharist of Easter, and festive choral anthems sung by The Choir of Trinity Wall Street.
The Liturgy of Good Friday, including the Passion Gospel according to John chanted by The Choir of Trinity Wall Street, the Solemn Collects, devotional hymns, Veneration of the Cross, Communion from the Reserved Sacrament, and anthems. Veneration of the Cross continues until 3pm with the 33 tolls of the Trinity bells.
Children’s worship materials will be available during this service, and nursery care will be offered on the mezzanine. Children must be registered for the school year to take part in nursery care.
