Sunday Sermon, The Rev. Matthew A. Welsch: "What Will It Take to Be Reconciled?"

When the risen Christ says to his disciples, “Peace be with you,” he offers much more than peace, preached Father Matt in his sermon. “Jesus is offering a profound forgiveness, grace, reconciliation to a broken, frightened, and hurting community.” And sharing that reconciliation with the world, even those who hate us, may be our most difficult task as Christians. “What will it take to be reconciled, to open those doors to make way for God’s peace and love?” asked Father Matt. “That, it turns out, is the challenging work of the church. That is our job.”
