Kintsugi ("Kin" is "gold", and "Tsugi" is "to mend / connect") is a venerable Japanese art form of mending broken ceramics with gold. Academy Kintsugi (co-founded by internationally renowned Artist, Makoto Fujimura, and international advocate/entrepreneur Haejin Shim Fujimura) fosters Kintsugi-Peace Making towards Culture Care and Community Formation. During the retreat, the participants will learn the craft of Kintsugi led by Academy Kintsugi's trained facilitators and how to foster Culture Care values in a community.
