Celebrate the coming of the new year with a spirited performance by the Bishop’s Band in today’s installment of Comfort at One. In 2014, the Bishop’s Band presented Codex II, a concert dedicated to Martínez Compañón’s book, music from the late 18th-century from the Codex Trujillo del Perú.
Trinity’s early music Twelfth Night Festival was a highlight of New York’s holiday season for several years. Today we present Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, BWV 248 (parts five and six). These choruses, intimate arias, and colorful orchestrations depict the Christmas story as a drama to rival his monumental passions.
