Voices Over Tallinn: A Tradition of Song

On November 30, Downtown Voices will present a concert celebrating Estonia, a country on the Baltic Sea in Northern Europe, which is celebrating 100 years of independence. Estonians transmit their unique cultural identity through song, particularly in mass choral festivals known as laulupidu. In advance of the concert, we asked three members of Downtown Voices how the choral traditions of their childhoods shaped their identities today.
