Sunday Sermon, The Rev. Phillip A. Jackson: “A Different Way of Being”

How might the Bible help us navigate these difficult times? The Rev. Phil Jackson encourages us to start with two simple but profound questions: Who does Jesus say he is? And how do we pattern our lives after him? This week’s reading from the Epistle of James offers one lesson: When you find yourself wanting to write someone off or bad-mouth them, just pause, preaches Father Phil, “and remember that they too are born in the image and likeness of God.” What a community the church could be if we modeled a different way of being.
