“‘Now what?’ That is the question for the first Sunday of Advent.” As we embark on this season of anticipation, Father Michael Bird reminds us to be vigilant in preparing for more than just Christmas morning. “We don’t know when He’s coming back, so we should be awake,” he offered. “Do we wait passively for his coming again? Or do we actively wait with hearts wide open, recognize the promptings of the spirit and dare to move forward?”
