Bach at One

In the spring of 2016, Trinity’s ever-popular Bach at One series (Wednesdays at 1pm in St. Paul’s Chapel), will complete the presentation of Bach’s entire monumental output of sacred vocal music.

The Choir of Trinity Wall Street and Trinity Baroque Orchestra perform the cantatas of Johann Sebastian Bach each week as part of “Bach at One.” A devout Lutheran, Bach composed 200 cantatas using both sacred and secular texts.

The Liturgy of Good Friday

The Solemn Liturgy of Good Friday is an extended reflection on the events and meaning of Jesus' crucifixion. It includes the Veneration of the Cross, a reflective series of prayers for repentance and forgiveness, and the chanting of the Gospel of the Passion by the Choir of Trinity Wall Street. On this day alone the Holy Eucharist is not celebrated (communion from the reserved sacrament is available on Friday morning at 8am in All Saints' Chapel).
