The Poet and the Psalms

People reading the poetry of W.H. Auden don’t usually think of the Psalms, and folks reading, praying, or singing the Psalms are not likely to be contemplating Auden---although maybe they should. In both cases. The late poet could be passionate about traditional Anglican worship and a new book demonstrates that passion, quoting letters written by Auden to a current member of the congregation of Trinity Church Wall Street.
