Episcopal Explained: Maundy Thursday

Maundy Thursday is one of what have traditionally been called the “Three Great Days” in Holy Week. Scripture relates that a lot of different events occurred that final evening before Jesus’ execution—some tender, others violent—and the Maundy Thursday liturgy reflects that diversity of emotion.
