Christmas Day Sermon, The Rev. Michael A. Bird: "The Gift We Need”

At Christmastime, it’s easy to gloss over how hard this human journey is, “and yet it is exactly at this time that we should ponder the fact that God loved us so much that God chose to be one of us - as broken and lost as we are.”

In his Christmas Day sermon, Father Michael reminds us that “Christmas assumes nothing and offers us everything. It is the story of cosmic cooperation with our broken world. It is the gift that we need.”

A truly perfect gift, he adds, if we “make room for that truth in our hearts and align ourselves with the light.”
