Ascension Day Sermon, The Rev. Phillip A. Jackson: "Be My Witnesses"

Before his ascension into heaven, Jesus made both a promise and a prophecy. The fact that we are sitting in church today, preaches Father Phil, having received the same power of Christ as so many before us, means that “Jesus is kind of right about everything. So have no fear, be leaders, be you" and bear witness to him, just like he knew we would. The scriptures are Acts 1:1–11; Psalm 93; Ephesians 1:15–23; and Luke 24:44–53.
