Jesus’s disciples already knew how to pray. But after spending time with Jesus, they were thinking about God and God’s kin-dom differently than before. So Jesus taught them the words that we now call The Lord’s Prayer. Prayer or meditation is a way to be present to God. The words, or their meaning, are no more or less important than our sincere presence to God. However, it is an awesome prayer to know by heart so you can easily shift into a posture of prayer.

Our Father in heaven,
    hallowed be your Name,

For the kingdom, the power,
    and the glory are yours,
