Ringing the Bell of Hope

In this annual service remembering those who died in the September 11 attacks, Father Phil Jackson rings the Bell of Hope in a pattern of “four fives,” the traditional firefighters’ salute to the fallen.
A gift from the city of London to New York, the bell is rung precisely at 8:46am, the time when the first plane crashed into 1 World Trade Center.
Join us for a brief and moving service in the St. Paul’s churchyard.
