“Bright Day of Justice”: MLK Online Social Justice Retreat
Join Trinity Retreat Center in celebrating and remembering the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a one-day retreat reflecting on his “I Have A Dream” speech.
In his prophetic speech, the civil rights leader took up the pain of the oppressed and spoke urgently into the storm of history, promising that “the whirlwinds of revolt will continue to shake the foundations of our nation until the bright day of justice emerges.” How far have we come? Where are we now? Where must we go? Come together with the Rev. Dr. Mark Francisco Bozzuti-Jones, the retreat center’s Priest and Director of Spiritual Formation, and Joseph Rose, Executive Director of Visitor Experience and a candidate for ordination in the Episcopal Church in Connecticut, for a transformative day as we let the powerful words of this speech move us toward that bright day to be co-workers in unity the Holy Spirit.
This free retreat will take place over the day at these times on Facebook Live. All times are Eastern. Registration is not required.
