Grace Beat’s Ecstatic Refuge
Jazz pianist and composer Mina Cho, bassist Max Ridley, percussionist Insoo Kim and drummer Yeongjin Kim perform as the Grace Beat Quartet, an ensemble blending traditional Korean music with jazz rhythms. This afternoon’s program will explore how rhythmic traditions have offered refuge and resilience throughout human history, including our present moment of conflict, war, and post-COVID recovery.
