Sunday Sermon, The Rev. Matthew A. Welsch: “The Story of Faith”

From the stories of messy families in Genesis to Jesus’s parables about seemingly mundane things, the narratives we read in the Bible remind us that God’s grace infuses all of creation, and that includes the ordinary and imperfect aspects of our lives. “God is with us in everything that we do,” preaches Father Matthew Welsch, “even and perhaps especially when our stories feel like they’re going off the rails.” As God showed up for our ancestors in the faith bringing reconciliation, liberation, and joy, “God will show up for us too.”
