This fall in Discovery, come learn from our shared history and explore how we might live faithfully in this moment.
Together we’ll consider the role Christianity plays in the American story, from the founding of our nation to our ongoing work for justice and lasting peace.
We’ll see how theologians and activists Howard Thurman and Thomas Merton embody the intersection of faith and social action; delve into the multifaceted diversity of the church in the United States, including Indigenous, African American, and womanist perspectives; and engage in contemplative practice to align our minds, bodies, and spirits and sustain us each day.
