Concerts at One: Mozart and Martines
Trinity Choir and NOVUS; Melissa Attebury, conductor

Event Series/Instance -- Event Description
Who is Marianna Martines? Let Trinity Choir and the NOVUS orchestra introduce you to the work of this brilliant yet previously overlooked contemporary of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Despite the limitations placed on women of her era, Martines forged a distinguished musical career, rising to become one of the most influential artistic figures in Vienna. Today’s program includes one of her finest compositions, the Dixit Dominus, a dramatic and intricate five-part choral masterpiece. It will be paired with Mozart’s Exsultate, jubilate, the beloved Ave verum corpus, and his third and perhaps best-known setting of Regina. Melissa Attebury, conductor.
Registration for this free event is highly recommended as seating is limited.
We suggest arriving 45 minutes before start time. Admission is first-come, first-served, with ticket holders receiving priority (although not guaranteed entrance if the venue reaches capacity).
